Here’s a handy little video to show you how to wrap road bike handlebars like a pro, with Joe from Sticks & Stones bike shop in Rexburg, Idaho.
Things you’ll need:
- Electrical Tape
- Handlebar Tape with a little extra tape
Before you start:
Cut a 45 degree angle at the start of the tape so it has a cleaner finish and will look straight on the end
When you put your hands in your drops or up on top of your bars you are actually putting an outward pressure on the tape. So on the right-hand side, we will wrap the tape in a clockwise direction so as you put pressure on your bars it will actually tighten up the tape versus loosening it. You’ll do just the opposite on the left-hand side.
